Invitation Suite, Favour Package
Story
Lindsey and Shawn may not live in the rural communities they grew up in, but they wanted to capture that feeling for their wedding. Their outdoor ceremony took place in the backyard of Shawn’s childhood home, so I knew I wanted to create a sense of nature – but without being too literal. I sourced a beautiful print that featured butterflies, flowers and a perfect colour palette. I used the butterfly graphic throughout the invitation package and a clean sans serif typeface to add a modern touch. The print was cut and folded to create an envelope for the pieces to be housed in.

Story
If you knew Melissa and Guy, you’d know they love to do things a bit differently. They decided they’d elope in their own picturesque backyard in Canmore, Alberta. But they still wanted to celebrate with friends and family. When they chose their reception date, they knew their stationery needed to be unique and remind them of their beautiful ceremony backdrop. I chose a very unique paper that has a wood texture on one side and although printing was an experiment, it added a beautiful effect to the colourful graphics. A fun script and slab serif were chosen to compliment the colourful floral illustration.

Story
What’s Kim’s favourite colour? Pink, obviously! When it came time to design their stationery package, she and Adam wanted to showcase their fun, young spirits. First I created a personalized logo with a fun script typeface and arrow element that could be used throughout the pieces. Then I chose an elongated sans serif typeface for the body of the text. A watercolour graphic was printed overtop of a pearl linen cardstock to create the look of a hand-painted invitation.

Invitation Suite
Story
It is not very often that you meet a couple as sweet and caring as Lindsay and Luke. I knew I needed to create an invitation package that was not only stunning but had a simple elegance as well. A reverse print technique was used to create the look of a metallic type by printing a dark ink on metallic paper. Because the ceremony took place in March, I used a pattern to represent the stars that you see during the long winter nights. A serif font was combined with a script to complete the design.

Story
Danielle and Phil opted for a private wedding ceremony in their home with just their parents in attendance. After, they celebrated the occasion with a private dinner at the ultra-trendy Lit Wine Bar in Edmonton with their closest friends. The invitations and stationery for the event needed to reference the romance of the private ceremony and also add a bit of modern charm to the Italian eatery party. Kraft paper was chosen for its texture and colour profile. A handwritten script typeface was used to add warmth to the minimalist stripe graphics and vellum invitation.
