2015 Wedding Trends

It’s that time of year! Wedding season is in full swing and judging by the date (January 26th!), it has been a busy start to 2015 for Glossie already. We are so excited to start working with our clients to create the most amazing invitation suites and reception stationery. Remember, you should start your invitation process about 4-6 months before your wedding date to allow for design time, printing, mailing, and recieving your response cards. That means, if your wedding is in June, you need to be starting your invitation now. And if your wedding is in April, you need to start like, yesterday!

There were so many great wedding event to attend over the last few weeks and I want to focus on one in particular, Swept ! I love Swept because it’s a really high-end, curated vendor showcase. There is no swag , so you won’t be filling out entry forms at every table, or receiveing those annoying follow up calls. It’s really about interacting with the vendor.

Now lets get to the trends!

1. Rose Gold
Last year, blush and gold were HUGE, theyre stull big this year, but I’m seeing a lot of rose gold popping up everywhere.

2. Polka Dots & Patterns
Patterns are like the new monograms. Add them to your invitation, linens, bridesmaids dresses, etc. So much fun!

3. Interactive Tables & Bars
Not sure how to entertain your guests at your reception? Give them a make-your-own waffle bar, or let them sample different popcorn flavours.

4. Sweet Tables
Similar idea to the interative tables but this is purely SWEET! Instead of one cake, have 20 dessert options. Personalize with vintage cake stands or colour coordinate your sweet treats to your decor.

5. Ethereal/Goddes Themes
The romantic look is here to stay but this year I think it’s going to look a lot more etheral. This deep, rich hues, and over the top decor.
